About UsThomas J. Raftery has been concentrating in insolvency and bankruptcy since 1974. He has been a trustee in bankruptcy and has represented debtors, trustees, assignees for the benefit of creditors, creditors committees, creditors, buyers and sellers in connection with bankruptcy and insolvency matters. He is a member in good standing of the Massachusetts and New Hampshire bars (would he tell you if he was a member in bad standing?). He is admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States. He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Boston Bar Association and the New Hampshire Bar Association. He has been a lecturer in a number of insolvency courses. He was a town moderator and is a retired Captain in the U.S. Naval Reserve. Despite all that, he likes to think that he is a downright practical fellow. He is a terrible golfer, a 3.5 tennis player and a decent skier (all qualifications for a bankruptcy attorney, of course). He gives seminars from time to time and likes to think that someone listens. By the way, that is not his picture.
